Nicole reached out to me from a recommendation on a parenting site with a sweet idea in mind. She wanted to have winter maternity photos taken as a surprise for her husband’s birthday. This is her 4th child and her last, so she wanted to make the memory very special.
We went back and forth with ideas, whether or not to include her other kiddos and husband in the photos or to just have her in them. We decided it would be sweet to capture the memories of just her and her baby together.
It was a cold February morning, fitting for Wisconsin, but instead of the normal gray overcast, the skies were a beautiful, bright blue. Though the air was crisp, especially since we were just off the lakefront, but Nicole was shining with smiles as she posed on the beach and on the walkway of Klode Park, in Whitefish Bay, WI.
We continued down the beach and back up the walkway that was recently covered in a light, fluffy snow. She talked about how meaningful the park has been to her. The waterfront reminded her of her West Coast origins. The path brought memories of lugging strollers and kiddos up and down the hill, enjoying sunshine filled days on the beach.
Even though it was cold, she carried such a warm and happy presence about her. She spoke lovingly about her family, her husband and her children and how she cannot wait to meet their baby girl and welcome her into their family. Congratulations on your growing family, Nicole.
